: You don't. What is the deal with these agents? Can't they at least send back some kind of standard reply saying they don't have time to read your query right now? There are automatic email programs that do that. It could say how long before they'll reply.
Yeah, and another thing, they say they want to know if you've sent it to anybody else (presumably so they can reject it). But how do you know if the first agent is still going to look at it?
