I found this statement of the internet:
Dishonest agents prey on writers by charging fees. They may also promote their own paid services, often misrepresenting their knowledge and expertise.
These agents don't earn their income by selling manuscripts to publishers, but by extracting money from their clients.
If this is true, how to tell the honest ones from the dishonest ones?
