: How come nobody at this forum is discussing the people's uprising in the Middle East? I think it's about time the people threw over those totalitarian governments. What do you all think?

Up to now it has been about people demonstrating because they were unhappy with their lives and upset about government policy that seemed to be doing nothing to help them. But what is going on in Libya now seems to me to be something different and something very unusual, a people seeing uprisings in other countries and deciding to try to overthrow a despotic ruler. It can only lead to bloodshed, and maybe to a sort of civil war if there are enough people on the other side who don't want things to change.
