Other clues? Looks to me like there are lots of them, some obvious, others not so obvious. I think they all refer to either Kafka's stories or to the author's life. "Metamorphosed into a giant cockroach" is an obvious reference to his story "The Metamorphosis," but what about "turning into little more than a shadow of himself"? Is that a reference to his story "The Hunger Artist"?

: All I can say is Wow! So much to think about in so few words. This little story is like a Chinese puzzle box. It sent me running to Wikipedia to learn more about Kafka's life. If you want to know who Felice and Milena and Dora REALLY were, go to:

: And the author's name? Schrodinger Katz? Is it another clue to the puzzle? Something to do with Schrodinger's cat, the quantum mechanics thought experiment where the cat might be simultaneously alive AND dead?

: Are there more mind-warping puzzles in this story that I missed? Like time doesn't exist? Or we only THINK time exists? Or? Anybody find other clues?
