Justice
by
Fred A. Wilcox

Eviscerated whispers
Electrocuted nerves
The Magistrate is coming
Graceful as a whale on stilts
Attorneys masticating pleas
Wife beaters chocking on their ties
The hip-hop boys flashing themselves
Goth cutie pie
Chewing her black nails
Blue glitter eyebrows
Lips packing coats of blood
And when this child smiles
Even the Rambos
Purr like eunuchs.
Mama squeezes in close
Casting bitter peaks
At demon girl
Ah, poor Mama
Snapping cancer sticks
Anointing the room with
Broken rage
Her nicotine prayer
Begging justice please
To come on home.
