Hard to say how big it's getting, but it is growing. Check out writing.com for some info on it. Also, www.danforthreview.com/features/special/best_online_fiction.htm
The list of online literary magazines is the fastest growing aspect of it (some of them are just as hard to get published in as the print magazines).
