Harrison Ford, the big star in the movie, recently weighed in on the controversy. He said for him, it's just a movie. But he did comment on the movie's plot, the concept of training children to participate in war. He said, "Drone warfare and the capacity that we have technologically is one part of the moral package. The other is the use of young people in the business of war, which has always historically been the case. Our youngest and fittest of our cultures have always been the ones who are first in line for warfare."

: There is talk of a boycott against the Ender's Game movie because the author, Orson Scott Card, is a Mormom who is a member of a family-first organization (against gay marriage). What do you all think of the idea of boycotting books, movies, art, etc because of the author's beliefs?

: : Ender's Game, the movie based on Orson Scott Card's sci-fi novel, is finally coming to your local theater in November. Here is the blurb:

: : An unusually gifted child is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for an alien invasion.

: : Harrison Ford is the big name star, but the real star is sure to be Asa Butterfield who plays Ender (you may remember him as The Boy in the Striped Pajamas).
